How QuickTours Got Started

QuickTours originated from a company called Spectra Sight Media a drone company focused on providing aerial media in the Real Estate industry. After several years of operation and working closely with real estate agents founder Daniel Nix saw a bigger need in the industry. The agents were not able to effectively use the content Spectra Sight was providing. They didn’t know how to post on their landing pages, websites, social media, etc. Daniel Nix devised a plan to create a quick, effective, hands-free marketing platform that real estate agents could use to market their listings and grow their business.

The Challenge

The goal was to create a marketing product that was consistent and scalable. From the creation of the content, the naming of files, to the uploading and sharing online. Every step had to be fully automated, efficient, and reliable before we could provide true value in the real estate industry.

Summary:

Our team was able to successfully automate the process of creating property highlight videos for the real estate industry. Typical video creation and upload processes previously averaged 2.5 man hours. With the completion of the project the average time to create and publish a video is now 3 minutes with less than 1 second of manual labor. As a result of the automation and scripting of the video process the burden of human error has been eliminated. Absolute improvements in brand consistency, quality control, speed, and deliverability have been recognised. Estimated development time 1.5 years.

The Challenge

The goal was to create a social media graphic / asset that felt NEW, state-of-the-art, and captured to attention of both homebuyers and real estate agents. Cinemagraphs were starting to become an internet sensation but the average cost to produce one was $100. It required someone to film a location and edit the footage in advanced motion graphic program. Our team set out to create a cinemagraph that could be delivered on-demand and didn’t require on location shoots.

Summary:

Instead of filming a property and isolating one moving feature like a typically cinemagraph, our solution was to remove the sky from the image and add a looping background. By using an animated GIF rather than an MOV we could create a looping GIF / Cinemagraph hybrid that could be embedded across all social platforms, emails, and text. Looping sky presets and photoshop templates allowed us to creation this content in 2 minutes or less including upload and publish. Our team successfully created an engaging social media graphic / asset that was quick, on-demand, and affordable.

In addition to creating automated property highlight videos and cinemagraphs we have created several other "general marketing tools" for the real estate industy. IDX Property Search: Allows real estate agents to provide a FULL property search on their personal webiste. Agents recieve insights from what the client is searching as well as notifications when the client requests a showing of a specific property. This product is proven to capture leads and earn new business for real estate agents. Template Websites: We developed 3 real estate website templates that give the agent the ability to change the text, colors, and images that appear on the website. Creating website templates dramatcially reduce the cost for the agent and creates a scaleable business model for QuickTours. MLS Approved Tour Pages: This page is developed in compliance with the MLS to provide the agent with a landing page to host additional content that can't be published on the MLS. We provided a compliant MLS tour link that can be posted in the MLS Virtual Tour field. On the QuickTours platfrom the agents can edit the virtual tour page to add and NON BRANDED content they wish. Examples included Matterport, Drone Videos, Cinemagraphs, Property Videos, Neighborhood Videos, Floor Plans, ect. The purpose of this page is to gather all additional content into one page and syndicate that page on the MLS.
